Introduction

Blog EAFES

The blog is a space for EAFES members to express their ideas, comments and suggestions. Every associate member can use the blog to contribute to public discussion related to energy. The blog section is primary designed for EAFES members, but even non-members have an opportunity to publish their comments. The best bloggers will be named annually at the EAFES general assembly.

1. Language:  It is recommended to write blog posts in English, and doing so is likely to maximize participation in further discussion.  However, it is recognized that some bloggers might prefer to express their ideas in their mother or another tongue, and posts will be accepted in several other languages*. (Slovak, German, Czech, French)

2. Content:  Blog posts should not be longer than 2 pages, around 1000 words, and the ideal post is about 700 words. Contributions are welcomed across the spectrum of areas related to energy, including technical, scientific, economic or political aspects.  Bloggers should check that their text is easily understandable and free of significant spelling or grammatical errors before posting.  Authors writing in English can also upload their text and request grammatical revision if this is not their mother tongue.  Contributions can include pictures, plots and graphs, which must be of sufficient resolution.  Advertisements for products, services or companies are not acceptable. Articles must not be offensive or defamatory, contain copyrighted material without consent, promote extremism or terrorism or incite any criminal act. Articles suspected of breaching these rules or local laws will not be published and may be removed from the website at any time without notification.

3. Format:  Articles can be uploaded in any format, but Microsoft Word, Open Office or PDF formats are preferred. The file should not be bigger than 10 MB. Every EAFES member can simply send the text to anyone from the EAFES Executive board . If you wish to contribute to the blog but you do not want to be a member of EAFES,please send your text to info@eafes.eu with your name and a short description of  yourself.
